what we did today

8:55am - Luis was home in the morning, so I got to sleep in some {more like catch up on sleep since Dac has been teething}. Once I woke up, I started on dishes...

...while he sat here...

...and I started on Pig's pancakes. I already had the batter from the previous day, so no work involved there. I love those kinds of mornings.

Pig's banana sweetened pancakes with strawberries. That's what he's been eating every morning recently.

10:25am - We played for a while. It was hard for Pig to muster through watching Dac touch his beloved toys, but he did a good job for a 2 year old.

10:48am - I put Dac in the swing and Piggie and I worked on his dinosaur puzzle. I hand him the pieces and he's memorized where each one goes.

He always keeps out the t-rex and the pieces around it. Toddler OCD. Afterwards, Luis went to work and took Pig with him. Pig spent the afternoon at his grandma's house. This hardly ever happens so this day was definitely not typical. Typical that something not-typical happened the day I decided to photograph a typical day -_-

12:30pm - Dacky waking up from a nice, long nap on my chest. Aren't babies so cute when they first wake up?

I put Dacky down on the floor to play and read a blog post from one of my favorite bloggers. She's a beauty blogger but can also write and put goosebumps on your skin. My kind of blogger!

2:40pm - Dac napped some more after that and then played again. He had mommy and a quiet house all to himself. Which meant long naps laying on mommy and playing with whatever toys he wanted to. This is right before I started cleaning the whole house.

3:38pm - And after...ahhhh yes! Notice I had to keep Pig's little super heros standing on the table. Another one of his toddler OCD quirks.

Dac watched me vacuum from his swing.

I gotta have some sweet, iced tea when I'm cleaning. #southerngirlproblems

4:49pm - more napping was involved, and then I felt like making something that involved some chocolate since I was out of my precious Nutella. Brownies!

And Dacky watched from his bouncer.

This is about how much batter I leave in my bowl for licking....

Crushing up the chocolate to go on top of the brownie before baking.

BEST. BROWNIE. EVER. Unfortunately I never got a picture of a cut piece, but let me tell you, it was fudgey and amazing. Here's the recipe.

6:17pm - I gave Dacky his bath and snapped one last pic before putting him to bed. Pig came home late, so he went straight to bed as well. Relaxing, non-typical day with only one child!
