Weekend Recap: Weaning & Repainting

Pig didn't nurse once this weekend. I thought I would be more sad about it, and maybe if I let myself dwell on it, I would be. But I'm enjoying it's replacement of cuddling with him. And tandem nursing can be taxing, so it feels kinda great to only nurse one kid now!

Much to Luis' utter annoyment, I am repainting our house. Our pretty much brand new house that was painted for the first time less than 3 years ago. He just doesn't understand that brown walls make me feel dreary and closed in, like I'm in a cave. Maybe I'm being dramatic but regardless, I want to brighten everything up.

I'm starting with the laundry room so I can test a small area first. Not sure how this whole re-painting thing is going to go. Going from dark brown to light gray. Here's a little of my inspiration.

My laundry room looks just like this one. Size and shelving. This light gray is going on my walls and then I just want to add splashes of color with the decor. I also want to get a frame to put on top of the shelf like this laundry room has and decorate it. This week I'm going to be cleaning the walls and repainting, so excited! Also pretty scared of what I'm going to find behind the washer and dryer...but at least it will get a much needed deep clean. Definitely looking forward to showing you guys a before and after.

Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it with these two rascals following me around nonstop.
