THINKING ABOUT

My upcoming trip to North Carolina with my boys and my mom. We'll be gone for two and a half weeks and that makes me kind of nervous. Plus an airplane trip there and back. All of this without my partner in crime, Luis. I'll survive, right?
Also thinking about everyone around me getting pregnant or who are trying to get pregnant. It seems like everyone in blogland and in my real life are announcing pregnancies or have told me they are trying. Friends are on baby #3 or 4! Kind of makes me think "Should I go for number three, too??" But I have the tendency to always feel like I should be doing whatever I perceive others to be doing, which is dumb because we all want different things and what makes someone else happy definitely may not make me happy. So I've been telling myself  "All of this excitement around me does not mean that I need to run off and get pregnant...I can enjoy my friend's babies and love on them and hold them and maybe secretly try to breastfeed them, and then I can hand them back."
THANKFUL FOR
The fact that my husband said he's done with carpet and we're getting laminate hardwood flooring in a few months. Heckkkkk yes! It's like our carpet went from nice to crackhead-house level in a few months. Well, ever since Dacky starting walking a year ago.
LOVING
Leggings!!! I just did an (Arizona, stay-at-home-mom style) fall haul, and got lots of leggings. I only bought one pair of jeans because I just dislike them more and more. Leggings and dresses are where it's at for me these days! And though most of my stuff looks summery to the rest of the country, I will fall and winterize it by wearing boots! And scarves! And dark nail polish! Our fall and winter is more like a perpetual spring, but we can accessorize!

When it gets for real cold here, like around December or January, I'll go back and get warmer stuff. I'm also on the hunt for the perfect ankle bootie.

DOING
Getting packed for my trip to North Carolina this week. More like doing laundry and then I'll be packing within 24 hours of leaving, haha! I always work best under last minute pressure.
ENJOYING
Cooler temps here in Phoenix. Normally I don't notice a coolness in the air until late October, early November. But we've already been getting into the 60's at night, so our mornings and evenings are amazing. Piggie proclaimed "It's not hot anymore, Mommy! We can go outside and play now!"
GOALS FOR THIS WEEK
  1. Breathe
  2. Cut the boys' hair
  3. Breathe
  4. Do laundry and pack and make busy bags
  5. Breathe
  6. Get to airport in time
  7. Breathe
  8. Survive flight with two little boys
  9. Breathe
  10. Drive two hours at night and arrive safely at Grandma's house
  11. Breathe
What's going on in your world this week? Any "flying with kids" tips or tricks you care to share?
