7 Facts About Me

There's a fun little game going 'round the blogosphere and I happened to get "nominated". If you are nominated, you give a shout out to the person who nominated you, share 7 facts about yourself, and then nominate some of your own favorite or inspiring bloggers.

So, first things first, THANK YOU Tawnya from All of Life's Little Adventures! If you hadn't been the first to nominate me, I would've definitely nominated YOU because I love your blog. She writes some of the best conversation starting posts!

Now for the 7 random facts about me:

1 // I'm a night owl. My mom tells me I never liked going to bed and I still don't like going to bed. I have to force myself to go to sleep before 1 or 2am, even if I'm dead tired. I always do everything better late at night.

2 // I'm obsessed with coffee. Maybe cause I'm a night owl, haha! Since I became a mom, coffee has taken on this new level of obsession for me. It's the only thing that lures me out of bed in the mornings. Besides my kids begging for food...

3// I love to read. I mainly love reading nonfiction books. Autobiographies, self-improvement, how-to books and cookbooks. I also love the random parenting humor book. Like The Honest Toddler, omg that mom kills me. Seriously follow her Facebook page! She turns my parenting-fail days around and helps me see the humor in them!

4 // I throw things when I'm really mad. This one is kind of embarrassing, and I've been able to control it better the older I've gotten. But most of my life when I've gotten mad, I feel like I just need to throw something. If only I were born Italian or Latina, I could pull off that sexy, hot-tempered thing. But, I'm just a crazy white girl!

5 // I always wanted to be a writer. Since I was in 3rd grade, I've kept a journal of some sort, on and off. I love the way I can write about something that's been troubling me, and when I'm finished I feel like I have an answer, or a better grasp on the situation. I've always done better at expressing myself through writing. Sometimes when Luis and I have argued, I will give him the silent treatment but slip a little piece of written paper (more like a diary!) under the door letting him know how I'm feeling, lol! He thinks I'm such a freak.

6 // I'm afraid of dogs. I've always tried to be cool about dogs and pretend that I'm okay around them, but anyone who pays more than 5 seconds of attention to me when I'm near dogs will quickly see that I am a pansy and I can't concentrate on what anyone is saying if there is a good sized dog nearby. I want to love them but I'm too scared.

7 // I've been married for over 11 years. I'm only 30, but I was married at 19. No one thought it would last, but here we are with our little Pig and Dacky, still chugging along.

I nominate the following bloggers for their bloggy awesomeness (I know most of them have probably already been nominated cause they're so awesome):

Tiffany from A Touch of Grace - I always forget that I've never actually met her, lol! It just feels that way since we keep in such great touch through our blogs. (Although hoping to meet her in person in a few weeks, eeek!). Tiffany is super knowledgeable about working out and staying in shape, and she's been really inspiring me lately with her how-to posts.

Tamara from Tamara Like Camera. I usually like to have a box of tissues nearby when I read Tamara's blog, not because it's sad but because she captures life so beautifully with her words and professional photographs. Love her!

Jennifer from The Deliberate Mom. I have like, three mommy gurus. She is one of them! She is amazing with her girls and I really look up to her as a mother. She was also one of the first who taught me what it means to be a blogger and build community.

Jenna from A Mama Collective. Her blog design alone makes me want to spend all day on her blog, but she writes the best stuff on mamahood and the real, true life stuff that we all go through! Love, love, love her blog. And I hope to meet her in person too cause she's an Arizona girl like me. Playdate soon, Jenna?!

Carolina from Mama Instincts. Carolina and I "met" in an online pregnancy support group when I was pregnant with Dacky. So her daughter and Dacky are only like two weeks apart in age, and they are betrothed, haha! She writes about all things natural mothering related as well as personal posts about her life.

Farrah from Reflective Mama. Sweetest. Blogger. EVER!!! Fellow boy mom with the sweetest demeanor, I can't stop using sweet to describe her. I'm a fairly new follower to her blog and I'm so glad we crossed bloggy paths!

R.F. Dietz from DIZMOMMY. I don't know how I came across her blog or hers to mine, but I'm so glad it happened, she's quickly becoming a favorite for me! She's an amazing and descriptive writer with an awesome sense of humor. And she's another boy mom so I can totally relate!

Okay this could go on all night, I have so many blogs I love and read, but I'll stop here! Happy Monday!
