Nutella: The Cigarette of Moms

Recently, I've been feeling overwhelmed.

Overwhelmed by the energy and neediness of a toddler. The attention they require and demand. The incessant repetition of words that you must repeat back in order for them to move on.

There is only so much toddler interaction I can handle before I begin showing my disdain for playing dinosaurs even one more minute, or pretending to fight Batman and roll around on my crickety back while a thirty pound person tries to jump on my face.

I can't.

This is where Nutella steps in and saves my children from me. Usually I can contain myself until the kids are in bed, but some days call for Nutella by noon.

It's like my cigarette. The instant it floods my system, I feel a bit calmer. Not sure if this stuff is laced with crack or what, but I love it.

What helps calm you after a long day with the kiddos? I wanna know how other mamas handle these long days! {Tell me you work out if you must, but don't rub it in!}

    I like to either take a long bath after the kids are put down for the night or watch some television that doesn't involve cartoons. Sometimes in the day if I accomplish to get both the children to take a nap at the same time (which is rare) I even try to sneak in some adult tv time then.

    Oh my gosh -we have no nutella in our house right now, and that looks soooo good! My thing is chocolate chips. I have to eat a few nearly every afternoon. 🙂

    I don't Yves any kids but when I babysit my small cousins I love their naptimes. I catch up on some WE Tv. I LOVE Nutella!! I can eat it until I get sick. I hope you and the family are having a great weekend.
