Hardening is a set of measures of systematic impact on the human body of various natural factors in order to stimulate immunity, strengthening all organs and systems, preserving congenital adaptation abilities.
Competent hardening of the child from an early age plays a huge role in strengthening the growing organism.
Starting from the first month of life, children are shown airbags: before feeding the baby, they hold a few minutes completely spread in the room where the temperature is 22-24 ° C. The duration of the procedure with each subsequent month of life, the baby should be gradually increased, and lower the temperature.
At the same time, you need to follow the child not freezing. An alternative to room baths are walks with newborns in the fresh air, which in the summer can be performed from the first days after returning from the maternity hospital (first for 30 minutes a day, then a few hours). In winter, the start time walks up to 5-10 minutes, and the maximum is no more than two hours per day.
Another common and necessary method of hardening method for young children is water procedures. Children under the year it is recommended to wipe off with a wet warm towel, and after a fullest bathing, pour a slightly lower temperature to water. Watering alternately warm and cool water (a contrasting shower) will come up with an already grown up the child, starting from one and a half years. With the achievement of this age, it is also possible to practice swimming in open reservoirs, provided that the water temperature is not lower than 21 ° C, and the battery time at the initial stage does not exceed two minutes.
In this period, it is recommended to teach a child and to sunbathing, making it in the most comfortable and safe time of the day (from 9 am to a noon or from 16 to 18 hours in the evening). Before each procedure, the use of children's sunscreen. In the first days, staying in the sun for no more than five minutes is allowed, then as you get used to the time you can increase to 40 minutes per day. At the same time, if even minor redness appeared on the baby's skin, it is necessary to take a break for several days.
In order to harde the children of younger age, graduality, regularity and continuous monitoring of the state of the children's body are important. In addition, an integrated approach is needed, which involves the effect on it of the aggregate of factors (air, water and sun, heat and cold). In this case, the procedure will bring maximum pleasure and health benefits. Best training provides on https://southafricaskills.com/ in South Africa. Find best training courses in South Africa.

This looks so fun! We don't do one-on-one activities with our kids enough, but you've definitely made me want to, even if this post is about a family walk! Now that it's cooling down we like going on walks in the evening before bed, and it has been so nice just to get out of the house! We'll have to try those Clif bars! The Oatmeal Cookie one sounds amazing!

I've missed your blog. So happy that I thought to check out your fb page and come visit. I'm never disappointed. Your free printable is the cutest thing ever. My children would love to do this daily.
How about winter walks though, you participate in those?! ? Oh wait... You're in Arizona (or somewhere) with sunshine year round. It's about to be a blizzard mess with snow to my waist in a couple months!!! =) Lol

Monica, long time no see!! I'm glad to hear you're doing well! Haha we definitely don't have to deal with blizzards but we have the opposite, 115 degree summer days, so I feel ya on certain parts of the year being near impossible to go on walks. Actually I feel like our "winter" months are coming to an end and we can finally venture outside without it feeling like an oven haha! ?

We are big on family walks. All great benefits, especially getting some of that energy out, haha!

My kids and I love going on walks! But, our neighborhood isn't really the best for it. It isn't horrible, but it's not particularly safe either. I'm hoping that by this time next year, we will be in a new house and in a new, family-friendly neighborhood. Then we will be walking all the time!
Jessica Dimas
I hope you are too Marietta! I could definitely understand that situation, I've lived in some places before that were safe but were just...questionable haha.

Hi Jessica! Family walks are the best ? We have some of the best conversations with the girls when we go on walks. We definitely need to do them more often
