Building a fence with our own hands
Having received a plot, the first thing that summer residents do is build a fence. To save money, many people build it with their own hands. There is a lot of choice of materials for fencing today, but they differ in material. And the choice of fence material becomes the first stage in its construction. If there is a brick house on the site, then it is logical to make a fence out of brick. A mesh fence is well suited for fencing neighboring plots. And if you want to close the territory from prying eyes, then a fence and profiled flooring are best suited.Types of fence The very first thing to do is to choose the type of fence. There are two types of fencing - open and closed. When the fence is open, the entire territory will be visible. A closed one will allow you to retire on your site.A wooden fence is the most affordable and easy-to-make wooden fence. The material for it is easy to buy in any market. It will cost cheap and looks beautiful, but it will stand less than a brick fence. To make it stand longer, you need to impregnate the wood with special substances. Such a fence encloses vegetable gardens or front gardens. If you monitor its appearance (tinting, changing the bars), then it will always please the owners. When building a fence, you need to think about the gate. It is better to install a metal one. The inset of door locks can also be made with your own hands. The fence begins to be built by digging holes up to one meter deep along the perimeter of the fence. Wooden poles pretreated with antiseptic are installed in them. Two horizontal beams are attached to the pillars. And the prepared boards with the processed surface are nailed to them. They can be nailed with a small interval, or you can make a blind fence. What anyone likes. After that, be sure to treat the strips with drying oil, and then cover with paint in several layers.Mesh fence There are often fences made of mesh netting. When it is stretched, a large load is created on the supports. Therefore, it is necessary to install metal poles. Pipes can be used. Large crushed stone is poured into the prepared pits, a pole is placed on it and poured with concrete. The netting is attached to a wire stretched between the posts in the upper and lower parts.A fence made of corrugated board, such a fence is erected in the same way as a fence made of chain link mesh. After the concrete grabs well, horizontal logs covered with primer and paint are welded onto the supports. Sheets of profiled flooring are attached to the logs with the help of screws or rivets.Such a fence will stand for several decades without repair, since corrugated steel is a very durable material. This looks so fun! We don't do one-on-one activities with our kids enough, but you've definitely made me want to, even if this post is about a family walk! Now that it's cooling down we like going on walks in the evening before bed, and it has been so nice just to get out of the house! We'll have to try those Clif bars! The Oatmeal Cookie one sounds amazing!

I've missed your blog. So happy that I thought to check out your fb page and come visit. I'm never disappointed. Your free printable is the cutest thing ever. My children would love to do this daily.
How about winter walks though, you participate in those?! ? Oh wait... You're in Arizona (or somewhere) with sunshine year round. It's about to be a blizzard mess with snow to my waist in a couple months!!! =) Lol

Monica, long time no see!! I'm glad to hear you're doing well! Haha we definitely don't have to deal with blizzards but we have the opposite, 115 degree summer days, so I feel ya on certain parts of the year being near impossible to go on walks. Actually I feel like our "winter" months are coming to an end and we can finally venture outside without it feeling like an oven haha! ?

We are big on family walks. All great benefits, especially getting some of that energy out, haha!

My kids and I love going on walks! But, our neighborhood isn't really the best for it. It isn't horrible, but it's not particularly safe either. I'm hoping that by this time next year, we will be in a new house and in a new, family-friendly neighborhood. Then we will be walking all the time!

I hope you are too Marietta! I could definitely understand that situation, I've lived in some places before that were safe but were just...questionable haha.

Hi Jessica! Family walks are the best ? We have some of the best conversations with the girls when we go on walks. We definitely need to do them more often
