Sooo, I was kinda excited when I got an email from Mercedes over at Project Procrastinot that I'd been nominated for a Liebster Award. I had no idea what it meant or why she nominated me but it was exciting nonetheless! It's not every day that I get an email regarding my little bloggy!
Basically, the Liebster Award is a way to connect bloggers and build up our community! Who doesn't like getting some blog love and recognition? And it's also fun to write the post and share some things about yourself and answer the nominator's questions.
When accepting the Liebster, there are a few guidelines that apply, mainly you must write a post containing the following information:
- Link back to the blog that nominated you
- Nominate 5-11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers
- Answers to the questions posed by your nominator
- Share 11 random facts about yourself
- Create 11 questions for your nominees to answer

- Do you believe in destiny? No, I believe we create our own destiny!
- What and when was the last letter (not e-mail) you wrote? Oh dear...probably a thank you card from the last time I birthed a kiddo.
- Do you prefer to get things done ahead of time or do you work well under pressure? I like to do both. It feels nice to be organized and on top of things but I also work very efficiently under pressure as well!
- Who (or what) is your biggest inspiration? The results from being positive.
- Why did you start blogging? To document Piggie Smalls' babyhood, to have a creative outlet, and to connect with other moms.
- Salty or sweet? Ohhhh I've got a major sweet tooth!
- Does your name match your personality? Jessica...I think so. Not really sure what other think of when they hear that name but I've always thought of Jessica being a playful name, which I definitely am!
- Name one guilty pleasure. Nutella French Toast...omg.
- What's your favorite season? Winter. For one, because I live in AZ. Secondly, I love all the holidays!
- What song/artist reminds you of middle school? 98 Degrees and all their songs LOL. I totally just dated myself.
- What's your favorite smell? (Mine is new baby, obvs, but also garlic and olive oil). Baby breath. I sit on the sofa with the Dactyl and just breathe in his sweet little breath. Best smell in the world!
11 Random Facts About Me
- I have crazy, frizzy hair. Luis says I look like I have a lion mane when it's not fixed.
- I love to take very hot showers.
- I'm still afraid of the dark.
- I believe in UFOs.
- I'm that lady on the street who is always peeping through her curtains to spy on her neighbors.
- I play 40's music in my house when I'm cleaning or cooking.
- I always worry that I've accidentally offended someone.
- I don't like anyone else doing my laundry. I almost died when I saw my MIL washing my clothes during the week after I had the Dactyl.
- I have a tendency to assume the worst. Which I'm trying very hard to fix currently!
- I love the grittiness of Mexico's culture! If I spoke Spanish, I would totally want to live there. But since I don't, San Diego is where I dream of living.
- I want to change all the wall colors in my house. I should've never agreed to agree with Luis. His style sucks, mine doesn't. #I'msickofbrownwalls

Oh I just love any music from the 40's in general 🙂 I have a radio app on my phone with a 40's station! Lol yes hot showers are a must for me too, sometimes my skin is even a little red (is that creepy?? lol).Thanks for following, I'll be following you back 🙂
