Cabin Getaway

On Friday morning, we took off for Pinetop, a town about three hours north from where we live.

Aaaaand, that's about all that I care to recount of this weekend! It wasn't that it was bad per se, but let me just say that there is no vacation when there is a three and one year old involved.

On top of that, traveling with others just isn't a good idea when you're the only one with little kids. Cause older kids actually sleep on the drive and don't have meltdowns constantly and don't need naps and don't crap their pants in inconvenient places.

If I had to sum it up in a few key words, it would be: screaming, migraine, embarrassing, beautiful, tiring, accidents, bad sleep, torture, awkward, and relieving. Relieving to get home.

And so I shall leave you with these photos that look much more peaceful and fun than they really were, haha!

The only picture of me from the entire trip! Proof that I was there. Checked out mentally but I was there in the flesh. We're smiling here but our souls were weary.

It could've been worse but we're happy to be back home! What are your vacation tips for when little kiddos are involved?
