Just woke up
With daddy at the petting zoo

My little Piggie Smalls turned 8 months this week.  He's growing up so fast! *tear, sniff sniff*
Currently, Piggie Smalls has continued to be exclusively breastfed, still not too interested in solids (actually not interested at all, still working on it ((kind of, because I'm not as worried about it as much as everyone around me is...read "MIL")), he's finally got a tooth coming in, weighs a whopping 24 pounds (my poor back), and he's just started to turn sideways from a sitting position which is huge for him because he also hasn't been interested in being mobile.

He's a little slow poke on the developmental milestones!

He's very happy, talks a lot and plays little games with his mouth and tongue, grabs everything in sight, smiles at almost anyone who gives him attention, loves grabbing his feet and putting them in his mouth, loves "wrestling" with his daddy, wants to touch the cat sooo bad, gets mad if you take something out of his hand, loves splashing water, leans waaaay over to look at something in the distance...I'm actually a little glad he hasn't started crawling yet, cause he's going to be into everything.

I just can't believe he's already been here for 8 months.  I remember being pregnant with him as if it were just last week.  I'm sure I'll be saying that until he's 30 years old, but still, it's just crazy.

I think he's just perfect.  I love his fat little cheeks and the way his big lips pout out when he first wakes up.  I love how he lights up and smiles when I talk to him.  I think it's so sweet how he smiles at other people who smile at him...I hope he always stays sweet.

I've really enjoyed being a stay at home mom with him.  At first it was a little tough because I wasn't used to it and I didn't understand the true blessing of it, but now that I've gotten the hang of it I love it.  I love taking care of him, my husband, and the house.  I know that may sound terribly repulsive to some, but I have to say that I've never been happier!  I love it!

His bottom left tooth is coming in, so he's not in the best of moods and he's comfort nursing like crazy.  I'm sad he won't have a little gummy smile anymore, but he'll be cute with his little tooth.  He'll be cute no matter what 🙂

And that's the update for 8 months!
