Sport is health. And the winter sport perfectly temper the body, trains endurance, so it is already worth thinking about the choice of the winter section for children so that in the future they had no problems with health, nor with the power of will, nor with self-esteem.
It has long been known that sport classes bring huge benefits to all the body, not only immunity, but also the strength of the Spirit. That is why parents are trying to introduce children to sports as early as possible.
Of course, in the warm season, there is more opportunities. In winter, most parents complain that children are sediments and often sick. In the end, the question arises in which the winter section will burn a son or daughter, as sports in winter strengthen the respiratory system, increase the resistance of the young organism with colds.
The first option is the figure skating section. This is taken here boys and girls from the five-year-old age. This sport is perfectly developing coordination, the vestibular apparatus, improves posture. It is worth noting that the boys in figure skating are taken very willing, as there is always a shortage of partners in pair skating.
Option second - hockey. Take children, as a rule, from nine years. Children up to this age are more susceptible to an ankle injury in hockey skates, as they differ from their more rigid design. Hockey will make a child more hardy and strong, but get ready for what you have to acquire expensive high-quality equipment to reduce the risk of serious injury and not to beat off the hunt to play sports later.
Another option is to ride a mountain or cross-country skiing. Regular classes strengthen the muscular corset of the child, the ionic muscles develop, increase the overall tone of the growing organism. Ski sections are recorded with eight years.
You can only engage in a snowboard from 12 years old, but in this sport often come after the ski sections, therefore there are no difficulties with learning. If your child, without having any basic snowboard skills, wanted to sign up in this section, find a good instructor. Then the winter season will not be spent on one training.
Whatever sport you choose for your child, first of all you need to take care of security - do not skimp on high-quality equipment, look for a good coach, warn children about possible trauma. Observing these rules, you will help children become strong, healthy and confident. This looks so fun! We don't do one-on-one activities with our kids enough, but you've definitely made me want to, even if this post is about a family walk! Now that it's cooling down we like going on walks in the evening before bed, and it has been so nice just to get out of the house! We'll have to try those Clif bars! The Oatmeal Cookie one sounds amazing!

I've missed your blog. So happy that I thought to check out your fb page and come visit. I'm never disappointed. Your free printable is the cutest thing ever. My children would love to do this daily.
How about winter walks though, you participate in those?! ? Oh wait... You're in Arizona (or somewhere) with sunshine year round. It's about to be a blizzard mess with snow to my waist in a couple months!!! =) Lol

Monica, long time no see!! I'm glad to hear you're doing well! Haha we definitely don't have to deal with blizzards but we have the opposite, 115 degree summer days, so I feel ya on certain parts of the year being near impossible to go on walks. Actually I feel like our "winter" months are coming to an end and we can finally venture outside without it feeling like an oven haha! ?

We are big on family walks. All great benefits, especially getting some of that energy out, haha!

My kids and I love going on walks! But, our neighborhood isn't really the best for it. It isn't horrible, but it's not particularly safe either. I'm hoping that by this time next year, we will be in a new house and in a new, family-friendly neighborhood. Then we will be walking all the time!

I hope you are too Marietta! I could definitely understand that situation, I've lived in some places before that were safe but were just...questionable haha.
