Pig & Dac's playroom needs some decorating, which I can't wait to do. But just a few months ago this room was more of a storage room, and now it's a fully functioning playroom and Pig loves it.
He's got a table in the middle of the room with wooden train tracks nailed down to a plywood board that a friend gave to us. It's like...super fancy for a two year old. Today we took the little trees off the train table and replaced them with dinosaurs and rocks.
Piggie Smalls lives for trains and dinosaurs.
Not pictured is the TV we have in his room on top of small dresser. He doesn't watch it ever so that's probably why I forgot to take a picture of it.
I always set up his car wash station like this because then he'll actually play with it!
He played with a toy like this at his cousin's house for hours, but never got that into it once we bought him one. Typical.
Crazy hair don't care.
This is the top of his train table, which is the centerpiece of the room!
More Thomas.
I emptied his baskets and started a toy rotation so he wouldn't be so overwhelmed with a multitude of toys. And you know what, he actually spends way more time playing with his toys now that I took away 80% of them!
This is the area where I mostly put things that I really don't want him to touch.
The fan is so cute, three blades are yellow, green, and orange. Matches the room perfectly.
Dac's seat.
Exciting wasn't it?!
What are some cute, functional ways you've decorated your child's room or playroom?

It IS exciting! I love these train tables: they can be used in so many ways. So cute with dinosaurs and hair! Great job, Mommy! Our play areas are mostly dysfunctional, and I can't decide what to do yet. We don't have a separate room on the first floor for Camilla, and the toys get everywhere.

The new functional thing - I removed my beloved working desk to give her a window that comes low and gives her a view of the front of the house. We had a zip-lock bag with paint on the window, and now it is a piece of the clear contact film, the sticky side up with her things on it. Very fancy - 🙂

Oooh that IS very fancy for a toddler! I'll definitely have to try that one, thanks for sharing the tip 🙂
